NHS bosses banned mums and their newborn babies from staying in hospital in an astonishing blunder.
Midwives were told not to offer mothers the choice of staying in hospital after giving birth unless there were medical reasons.
A leaked memo to staff, seen by the Gazette, said women will not be offered post natal admission.
It continued: "All women clinically well following their delivery will be advised that home is the best place for them to be once they have had refreshments and showered, etc."
