WESTON Area Health Trust (WAHT) has welcomed calls for more transparency in the NHS as hospitals are ordered to reveal how many nurses it has on duty.
Jane Cummings, chief nursing officer for NHS England, has announced hospital trusts must provide online records of its staffing levels, starting next April.
Chris Perry, director of nursing at WAHT, said the decision brings the rest of the country in line with its own protocol.
