Hi, thought this might be interesting as it is about stem cell research and how it might help cure three people with currently untreatable conditions. Diabetes isn't one of them, but there may be something relevant in the programme.

Thanks Northerner - I didnt know it was on until i read your thread. I watched it - absolutely amazing - I think diabetics are in line to benefit from stem cell research in the not too distant future.Bev

That's a shame Ellowynne. It seems they're not repeating it and it's not going to be available to watch online. However, this link gives a good idea of the background to stem cell research:

Horizon is not the program it used to be I don't think. The style of the programme has changed to become more of a 'drama' than a documentary - some programmes have finished and I've learned absolutely nothing from them!
