Honours Thesis/Lab project

We had to put in our choices (5) of which project we would like to do for the honours project a few months ago and I got my first choice (the Diabetic one didn't run ).

So I will be doing "THE MECHANISMS UNDERLYING THE ANALGESIC AND ANTI-INFLAMMATORY PROPERTIES OF THE MEDICINAL HERB GINGKO BILOBA"

Sounds really interesting, and actually can't wait to get started on it...

Hiya. It is surprising how into your dissertation you can get.
Mine was a maths dissertation and something to do with elements of an inverted pendulum!
I had to hand it in in a box file in the end - it became so big.

Its good you feel excited about it - try and get stuck in straight away whilst you feel this way - good luck with it

I presume it will involve experimentation on volunteers or is it all lab work and theory ?
The Maidenhair is a lovely looking tree too.

As for inverted pendulums Lucy. Is that a metronome ? (simple harmonic motion from engineering science many years ago ?) 🙄

Thanks everyone, don't have much idea what the project is about apart from the title... I think it will be mostly theory and lab work, gene expression etc?? I will be meeting with my advisor sometime next week and will get a better brief of what I need to do, and yes I want to start it as soon as possible as the more I do now the less I will need to do nearer the finish time LOL
