honeymoon over

Hi everyone havnt been here for a while, last time i was having problems with my honeymoon period having no lantus and on ly 2-5 units nova rapid. A few days ago sugars started shooting up, back on 10 lantus and about 30 units nova rapid. Prob need to up the lantus as morning readings slighly too high still. alot easier to medicate as my ratios are the same for every meal and not having any hypos. been same for nearly a week now so hope it stays stable. also feel alot better as my body isnt sruggling producing any insulin.

How long ago were you diagnosed? The honeymoon period is annoying isnt it?

At least things seem stable for you and it's back under control.

diagnosed six months ago came out of hospital on about 36 units total and stayed same for only a week. total nightmare to control for last 5 1/2 months. with no medicatin i was too high 2 hours after and normal by 4 hours. with medication sometimes 1 unit, would hypo. Much more stable now and a load happier. on about 40 units now
