Stick with the canderal or sweetener of choice. Even though honey is low GI there are still 5 or 6 carbs a tsp for honey 🙂

Although canderel is also mostly (slow) carbs too - it's just you need less of it to achieve a similar sweetness.

Over time you can move to having no sweeteners at all in your coffee. These days plain granule coffee with sugar tastes sickly sweet to me. Although for some strange reason I can tolerate sweeteners in coffee shop coffee 🙄

It took me 2 weeks to stop taking sugar in coffee, that was before I had diabetes. It is well worth the effort and the easiest way to reduce your carb intake.
If you can't manage it then stick with the canderel (0.06 carbs per tablet I believe). I've never tried honey in coffee but it sounds revolting - try whisky.

I normally drink my coffee black without sugar, but for an occasional treat I go to my local coffee chop which has a sugar (but not carb) free caramel syrup. Have never seen it in the supermarket, but then again, I've never really looked.

You can probably buy it direct from the coffee shop.
