I woke this morning with a painful foot.
A toenail came off at the end off last week - I damaged it a while ago and it went black but a new one grew underneath, but it was pulled off by the bedclothes rather than coming of when it was ready. I put on some antiseptic cream, but yesterday noticed that the tendon under my foot was drawn tight.

When I woke with a swollen foot and ominous red patch I called the clinic this morning and to my surprise one of the HCPs came around to the house to check on me.

She has gone back to issue a prescription for an antibiotic and some paracetamol - I only have Ibuprofen in the house.

All within four hours.

I was quite surprised. It must be twenty years since we had a house call - after my husband fell in the bathroom and damaged his ribs.

I am glad that this happened so quickly. Hope you feel better soon.

Sorry to hear about your poorly foot. I am impressed with the home visit by a HCP and the speed of response. I hope the antibiotics and painkillers give you some relief while you recover.
