I am still at the start of controlling my blood glucose levels for Type 2 and had reduced to 6-7 fasting (from low 20s!!) I have recently been on the Red Sea in 25 degree heat and my levels shot up again especially the bedtime one to high teens and am. fasting 10-12. I have been home a week and although very gradually coming down not as fast as it went up!! I am on 2x 500 mg Metformin and 2x30mcg Diamicron. I was supposed to be moving to 3 Diamicron a day if my levels had not gone to 4 but have not done so as thought it best to stabilise again and Dr surgery closed anyway for advice. Is it normal for heat to affect levels in this way - I realise the travel stress would do so and had expexted that for the first day or so. Any thoughts /advise please as this was my first holiday since diagnosis.
