Hi I'm going away over a weekend shortly .A gypsy caravan - A small 2 ring gas stove and kettle. The owner will let me use a fridge.
Is there any way I can take ready meals with me. Do any companies provide safe diabetic foods to take.

Ready meals do tend to be high carbs but by having half and bulking out with salad is one option. Other food you can take would be eggs, cheese, bacon, cooked meats or tin fish, coleslaw, salads. I would just look at what you fancy and check the carbs to make sure they are not horrendous. But a few days of less than ideal should not do too much damage.
I seem to remember that people have struggled to get delivered ready meals which are suitable for low carb eating.
You may need to do a bit of homework on shop websites to find lower carb meals that don't need chilled storage as in sachets.

I always used to prepare food in advance and freeze it in portion sizes when we went away. A cooked chicken for example, and plenty of fresh vegetables.

Hi thanks for this.

Another good suggestion. Brill. I have been offered some fridge or freezer space in the owners house. Which might widen the choices.
