Hello
Can anyone recommend an insurance company that insures Type 1s at a reasonable cost please?
Thank you. 🙂

I seem to remember that Insure and Go have been well recommended here in the past 🙂

Thanks Northener but in the end I went with the one linked from DiabetesUK website. Much better price than I had expected so will use them again.

Don't forget, Money Supermarket lets you search for insurers that cover pre-existing conditions so you can find the very cheapest ones.

Hi Maryanne I have also used the insurance company linked to Diabetes UK for 2 years and it was exactly the same price this year as last year for annual insurance, much to my surprise, as I am now correctly diagnosed as Type 1 rather than the misdiagnosed type 2 I was last year. I expected it to be more as I presumed I am now more risky :D. However, I believe an insurance company is only as good as their response if you need to claim. Luckily I have not needed to claim (yet).
