Hi everyone, I am about 5 months into diagnosis, and been doing fantastically with my diet. But am finding when I go away (like last week) and have people to stay (which has been 5 times in last 3 months) I stray from my diet by eating out. It's normally only a few days where I eat bigger portions and have more carbs than I do normally, my bloods have gone up at fasting first thing no higher than 7.2 at them naughty weeks, but I've got my blood test in two weeks, and am worried what effect this will have on my HB1ac (never know those letters order sorry) I go out with the intent of just having a salad when eating out - but just can't do it. Now I'm really worrying about what effect those weeks will have on my blood test especially this last week being so close to the actual test. My bloods are normally in the 5.0's at fasting when I am being good and return to normal very quickly. (Within 2-3 days) It's so hard to sit with a salad when everyone else aground you are eating your fav foods
