Matt who doesn't like a yellow sticker deal 🙂 fantastic, I'm not sure of Morrisons prices as I don't have one close but 100g pot of Tesco coconut chunks is £1 and with the money I've saved not buying chocolate, crisps and beer the past few months I can certainly afford a few lol xI love coconut. Morrisons do these as well. Bit pricey so I only usually get them when they've been reduced - yellow sticker man that I am.![]()
I know what you mean, when I went shopping to Tesco every weekend with my grandad the first places I would head to were the reduced fridge section and the reduced shelf section haha, well had to grab them before someone else did eh 🙂 xMight give that a go myself, I used to like a bit of fresh coconut, but haven't had any for years not sure why 🙄. I'm a dyed in the wool yellow sticker gal, if there's isn't a voucher or an offer of some kind I feel I've failed in my bargain hunting duties![]()
Thanks for that idea, I'm always scratching round for ideas of things to mix with yoghurt, I never thought of dessicated coconut. Does the coconut flavour actually leach into the yoghurt?I add desiccated coconut to plain Greek style yoghurt - the plain yoghurt just doesn't suit, and the extra fibre in the coconut is very welcome too...
Where are they in the shop Kaylz? With the fruit? Or the yoghurts? Never seen them, but love coconut and would like to try!Thinking about giving the Tesco 100g coconut chunks pots a go, only 3.5g carbs per pot x
I think it was with the other prepared fruits, I'm not actually sure though as my grandad did the shopping yesterday, I will ask him when he comes down though 🙂 xWhere are they in the shop Kaylz? With the fruit? Or the yoghurts? Never seen them, but love coconut and would like to try!
It might do with time - never gets the chance, I just give it a good mix - the unmixed coconut would make me cough as it can be inhaled, so be careful of that, and as soon as it is done, I eat it. I think that gently toasted flaked almonds might be another good addition to yoghurt. They would go soft if the mixture was left any length of time. Thanks for that idea, I'm always scratching round for ideas of things to mix with yoghurt, I never thought of dessicated coconut.
