i am Louise... my husband was diagnosed with type 2 back in may 2011... although he has been back and forth to the doctors for nearly 2 years suffering from pains in his feet,legs,sweating,very tired and hands did did not offer him any blood tests etc...as my husband has spinal damage they just put it down to that...from January this year he has been suffering extreme pain as i say in the above...come back in 2 weeks etc...finally doc decided to do blood test..my hubby now has hardly any feeling in his left foot i could go on and on....i do wish you well and hope that you get the right care ....best wishes louise...

Hi Louise and welcome to the forums. Don't worry about posting in the right places, the lovely moderators will happily move posts if necessary. I was just reading your post about your hubby. I'm so sorry he had such a bad time getting diagnosed.

Thank you everyone for the lovely massages...Ive not been on here for week or so and what a lovely surprise i got....my husbands up-date hes left foot has almost no feeling in it..he is finding it very hard to cope with... he is such an independent man...and to see him trying to get his balance is heart breaking.....has anyone experienced this.... thanks everyone Louise

Have the doctors given your husband any meds ?

And is he being offered any treatment for his foot ?

HI Rob...no docs have not given him anything...he has an appointment with GP next week...yes next week he has waited 3 weeks for this appointment....thank you for your message
 
cancelled docs appointment....

Hello...today was my husbands doc appointment....unfortunately he could not attend it....has he did not feel well enough to go...hes leg and foot are not good..since i wrote a post last week...he has been poorly to....since he had his flu jab one month ago he has been ill with flu...has anyone else has flu jab and is still feeling poorly .....thanks everyone ...louise
 
keeping hubby company...so tired

i am up so late as i am keeping my husband company he cannot sleep ..i am very tired but i could not leave him on his own...🙂....

Hi Louise, very sorry to hear that you have both had such a difficult night :( Unfortunately it is still possible to get flu even though you've had the jab, as there are many varieties around and the jab only provides protection for the main strains, so your hubby had been particularly unlucky.

Has he been able to get another appointment fairly soon? It's very important that he gets the best possible treatment for his leg and foot, so do push for him to be seen as soon as possible.

I hope that he recovers soon from the flu, and that he can get some relief from the pain - please keep in touch and let us know how things go. I hope you can get some restful, restorative sleep and that things start looking brighter for you both soon {{{louise}}}
 
Hi Louise, sorry you had such a bad time, hopefully you can get another Drs appointment soon and also your husband gets over his flue and you can get some sleep. You need to look after yourself too you know, the stronger you are, the better support you can give, which you do so well at the moment.🙂
