Hi - for the last 3 nights my sugars have been quite high (well high for me - in the 12's and 13's). Normally 8's max lately.

In the mornings however, I am back in the 6's.

I dont feel ill - not even a sniffle.

Could a bug be on the way I am not aware of yet?

I am not aware of anything I am eating that could be causing it but will keep a log the next few nights.

I do wash my hands etc before I test.

Should I be worried at these levels - or just keep monitoring.

I only tested as I felt so thirsty and nothing helped.

Hi Lucy, I often get the first indication of an illness from my blood sugar levels being above expected before anything materialises. In fact, sometimes I may not actually feel ill at all, maybe just slightly off, and wouldn't know I was fighting an infection if it were not for my meter! I wouldn't worry too much at those sorts of levels, but keep testing and if it persists might be worth a visit to the GP to see if they can shed any light on it.

Hope things settle for you soon! 🙂

Thanks Alan, as I say I feel fine but was confused as to why they seemed 'normal' in the morning - any ideas?

I will keep testing and hopefully it will just go back to normal.

You'll have less stresses on your body whilst you are sleeping, so perhaps your pancreas can work a bit more efficiently (just guessing! 😉)
