Hi
I'm back into borderline but my BP is high its always been normal and kidney function is low
I'm trying to eat healthy I can count calories but not sure what I should/ shouldn't be eating

Hi. What is your weight like? You need to count Carbs not Calories. Have you had any guidance from the GP on the kidney function and the optimal diet approach for that?

I need help and advice GP told me to watch salt waiting for dietician
Thanks

I probably wouldn't be that fussed over carbs if you are just borderline.
Follow the GP's advice, bearing in mind the BP and kidney function issues.
Can you contact the surgery for advice, and to speak to the dietician sooner?
I found mine excellent with advice over what to eat and addressed all my issues.

With exception of drug intervention both weight loss & exercise are two ways to lower bp.

Know some bp meds like Ramipril help protect kidneys, take 10mg dose myself.
