When my blood glucose is above 7.0 my angina is much worse and I have to,use a GTN spray to function until my blood glucose returns to “normal”. This has happened for years now. Every medical professional I have told about this says this can’t happen and there is no connection. But I know there is (for me anyway). Has anyone else experienced this?

H @Maryanne29 I don’t have angina but my hubby does, he isn’t diabetic by the way. This is just a thought not medically proven or anything like that. My hubby often gets angina straight after eating, especially if it is carb heavy, ie pasta, rice, bread. As you say it seems to happen when your BGs are 7 or over could it be related to the food you have eaten? Worth experimenting? Hope you find an answer as I know first hand how distressing and painful angina can be. Elaine.
