I have been a bit high whilst asleep, have tried to target the cause and wondered if I was missing something - so any advice would be greatly received!

I cook for my family after I pick up our daughter from school and arrive home from work, so we tend to eat together around 5:30pm. Our diet tends to be fairly healthy (I almost always cook from fresh). In the last week or so, things have been a little rushed in the evenings, which means I have cooked for our daughter so my wife and I eat later, around 7pm. I have carb counted as usual, and when heading to bed checked to find levels are a fairly steady 7-8. I have then found that around 1am, my levels have spiked to the mid teens. When waking they tend to then be around 9 or 10 and I am starting the day feeling rather rubbish. My Libre usually shows I am in range for c.90% of the time with an average around 6-7, but in the last week I have been in range for about 60% of the time, with an average of 9+.

Other than setting an alarm and checking my BG during the night, does anyone know of a solution? Anyone spot anything that I am doing wrong? Is it simply eating later than usual? I'll contact my DSN and dietician, but usually find advice on here tends to solve things!

Have you basal tested? xx

Unlikely having your meal slightly later is responsible I would say. If it was much later then possibly.
Which basal insulin do you use and when do you take it?
Basal needs tend to change for many of us around this time of year although usually we need less rather than more as the weather gets warmer, but then the last few days have been much cooler so that might be a factor.
Basal testing would be a good idea.
Have you had your Covid vaccine recently as that has been causing erratic readings for some of us. It really seems to have increased my basal needs and I am 8 weeks down the line from the first jab now and still needing an increased dose of Levemir.

Basal testing is an option I hadn't considered (and something I haven't done since shortly after diagnosis a few years ago).

I use Toujeo as basal and my dose is 9 each morning; around half an hour after I wake (usually about 7am). I recently switched from Novorapid to Fiasp bolus, as Novorapid was taking too long to kick in. I am aware that Fiasp has a kick in the tail for some, but I've not seen that.

I had the jab on 24th February, it caused me about three days of aches and pains in my joints and I was really tired at work, but no change until a couple of weeks ago in terms of levels.
