Welcome to the forum @Drifter
Which pumps have you used so far, and which ones are on offer in your area. It is often useful to find out their list first so that you don’t put time into researching ones that you can’t have.
I have used a Combo, which is now discontinued, and most recently the Medtronic 780G along with their sensors in a closed loop system. Happy to answer any questions if this is one you are considering.

Thanks SB2015, so far I've only had the Combo and (very briefly) an Insight, that I didn't like.
I am now offered:
Mm640g
Tandem Tslim
Dana RS
Omnipod Dash or Eros
Roche Solo.
What I would like is a pump with a full remote as I am outside a lot, with the possibility to set any size or type of bolus on this and also directly on the pump and a BG monitor and bolus calculator. I do have trouble with variability in insulin absorption, probably due to over a decade of MDI largely on the right side. I use Libre but find large differences between its readings and Combo fingerstick and would be concerned about basing bolus calculations on Libre. Do you think any of the above would suit? I don't have to make a decision just yet.

I heard that the Roche Solo is being discontinued. I'm facing a choice too on 23rd after 8 years on the combo. Only Omnipod or Medtronic though. Good luck

I‘m pretty sure the DanaRS has a smartphone app that can bolus, and I think you can control directly on the pump too. @Inka uses one, so can hopefully confirm.
Tandem tSlim is supposed to be launching a smartphone app ‘soon’, but having seen the way these things can drag their feet I would be nervy of going down that route if a remote is a deal breaker. (Though I really get on well with mine)
Omnipod has a full remote/PDM, but no controls on the pods themselves, obviously

I have seen a few people concerned about moving from Combo which, I think, has a direction connection form their finger prick meter to the pump.
Whilst this seems to be rare, in my experience, most pumps have a bolus calculator. You need to manually enter your current blood sugar reading and number of carbs then the pump will calculate your insulin dose.
For both my pumps, I have been able to enter a manual bolus (side step the bolus calculator) and decide whether I want it all now or part now and the rest extended over a certain period of time or all extended.
Once your pump knows you insulin sensitivity and insulin to carb ratios (they can be different at different times of the day), it can do its thing with the carbs and current BG.
You can take your current blood sugar reading from anywhere finger prick, Libre, another CGM or some future technology that is only in research now.

Yes, I do have a Dana RS @everydayupsanddowns and I love it @Drifter Interestingly, I too hated the Insight. I gave it back and was glad to see the back of it!
The Dana RS can be controlled by an app on your phone. You can bolus from your phone, change basal, suspend the pump - pretty much everything. I literally never get my pump out. Everything is done on my phone.
The DanaRS also has a really good range of sets, including a rotating one which really helps comfort and means you can position things exactly as you want. The sets and cannulas are also really good quality. The customer service is excellent. I’ve never had any issues with my pump or supplies. The Dana RS is also guaranteed for looping, should you be able to afford a CGM. It was developed with the help of #wearenotwaiting for this purpose. Dana is made by Sooil, a Korean company, who’ve been involved with insulin pumps for many, many years.
