Hello Wirralass. Thankyou for the kind words and opinion on my thread on the general messageboard would be good.

As an add on Charlotte ~ please check out Useful Links for people new to Diabetes. It's at the top of the Newbies thread. Lots of info there that you'll benefit reading.

Hi, my daughter is 9 (nearly 10) and was diagnosed almost a year ago. How are you finding it?

Hi and welcome @Charlotteburton Not sure if you have seen it yet but there is a topic list dedicated to parents/children on here, you may find that helpful. How old is your little one? and how are you coping?

Welcome to the forum @Charlotteburton it is a good place to come for support and advice for your daughter and depending on type of diabetes and age of daughter there are some videos in the learning zone you could watch together.

Welcome to the forum @Charlotteburton - though sorry you have to be here.

You'll find the Parent's forum a useful source of information and support from others looking after mini T1 superheroes

You might also find some useful hints in Adrienne's essential guide for parents of newly diagnosed children https://forum.diabetes.org.uk/board...rents-of-newly-diagnosed-children-pt-1.23853/ (though Adrienne doesn't visit the forum any more)

Another very helpful resource is Dr Ragnar Hanas's book Type 1 Diabetes in Children, Adolescents and Young People, which is highly regarded as a practical, readable and understandable overview of T1.

Keep us posted and keep asking questions 🙂
