Hi Stacey, welcome to the forum 🙂 Sorry to hear your lad is experiencing problems :( What insulin is he on? Do the hypos come at particular times of day e,g, mid-morning, mid-afternoon, after/during exercise etc.? There are a lot of factors that might be causing this, especially at his age, with growth hormones no doubt playing their part too. It could be the honeymoon, depending on how unpredictable the hypos are. Were the admissions for low or high blood glucose levels?

Have you specifically asked his hospital diabetes team for advice on these issues - and do they actually know about his admissions in the first place?
