Welcome to the forum Claire.

Hi Claire and welcome to the forum.

43 yr old female newly diagnosed type 2 with family history of the condition.
Hi Claire, welcome to the forum 🙂 How did your diagnosis come about? Have you been given any medication? Please feel free to let us know of any questions or concerns you may have and we will be happy to help! 🙂

Diabetes is a serious condition, but it can be managed well, and the knowledge and treatments are improving all the time 🙂 I'd recommend having a read of Maggie Davey's letter, which is a great introduction, and also getting a copy of the excellent Type 2 Diabetes: The First Year by Gretchen Becker - all good, no-nonsense, no-hype information to help guide you through the early months 🙂
