Hello Khskel, welcome aboard and glad you decided to Bob up above the parapet :D

Welcome to the forum khskel 🙂

Hi khskel, welcome to the forum 🙂 From my neck of the woods, I see (I'm from Brighouse originally).

How have things been for you since diagnosis? What insulin regime are you on?

I am not doing too badly. I have my ups and downs of course. I'm on Novorapid at mealtimes and Levemir before bed. Getting the hang of carb counting and getting my levels somewhere near. The nurse at the clinic had me on fixed amounts of novorapid and I got fed up of constant snacking to stop going hypo.

I can understand why they put you on fixed doses to begin with, but really they should have people up to speed with carb counting after a couple of weeks of 'settling down'. Good to hear that you are getting the hang of it 🙂

Hiya!

Are you only one one jab of Levemir? Only asking cos it doesn't usually last as long as 24 hours?

I am indeed only jabbing 1 lot of levemir. It seems to do the trick for me but I will jeep an eye on it.
