I just signed up here but i'd prefer to find a teen support forum. I've seen posts mentioning it but where are they!!
I reckon that this place ought to have a teen support forum...

On the home page there are the section headings like 'parents', 'in the news' etc etc. Could one be added called 'Just for teens' (or something similar) to accommodate the youngsters? That way the teens could all get to know each other there and the rest of us could take a look sometimes (as it might help some of us parents to understand our own teens a bit more!).

Anyway, just a thought. 🙂🙂🙂

Hi Mand, it sounds straightforward enough, but I think the problems are not with the mechanics of setting it up, but how it can be safely monitored. Unfortunately, there are people, as you are no doubt aware, who look to take advantage of vulnerable young people and who are not who they appear to be. As Admin and moderators here are volunteers, I think it's a level of involvement and responsibility that would be difficult to fulfil currently should it become as busy as some of the other main forums. That's not to say it won't happen - that's up to Admin - but with her new baby on the way I think it may be a little way in the future.

Ah yes! I had not thought about that. You are completely right. It would be a great responsbility and something that needs monitoring closely.

As you say, a possibility for the future.

Anyway, this forum has proved to be a lifeline for me and i thank you and all the other volunteers for the fab job you do! 🙂🙂
