Hi Jackie and a warm welcome to the forum sorry to hear about your diagnosis though, its a minefiled to start with all those questions racing around your head, the key to type 2 is dont punish yourself by cutting out all the nice things MODERATION is the key to it.I still love to have the odd nautiniess now and again but i dont go over the top.
One problem with diet is that we are all different and tolerate carbs differently. If you have a blood glucose meter that could prove helpful for you to see how food affects you.
You could also see if your Dr can refer you to the Desmond or Xpert courses which have been set up to help Type 2s understand their condition.
Hi Jackie and welcome to the forums. It is a bit daunting and confusing to start with but you've done the best thing in joining here. There's lots of advice and information to help you along. I don't know what you docs have told you but a glucose testing meter is your best friend whilst you find out which foods work the best for you. Good luck and take care. XXXXX
