Hi everyone,

I’m Gina,

I’m T1and was diagnosed back in 2016.

I was a member here back then and I’ve returned.

I’m a mum of 2 so juggling that alongside my

diabetes.

Hoping to meet new people in the same boat as

me

Hi Gina and welcome back to the forum. Hope the "Diabetes Fairy" has been kind to you in the intervening years or at least not too much of a pain in the backside 🙄

Not in the same boat as you as I am retired with no kids, although my 4 horses and other animals keep me busy.

Would be interested to know more about your diabetes management if you feel comfortable sharing? Things like which insulin(s) you use and are you injecting or using a pump and if the latter, which one and is it looped or manual and which CGM do you have? Obviously there is no need to answer anything you don't wish to, but the more we know about you, the more people will relate to you as an individual.

Happy to also learn about your family and any hobbies or interests you have (if you have time) or anything else you would like to share with us. Look forward to getting to know you better. 🙂

Hi @Gina12 and a warm welcome back from me too!

I second @rebrascora on the sharing part, for anything that you're comfortable with <3 I've been seeing more posts from parents, looking for ways to have conversations about their diagnosis with their kids. Or how to manage that busy lifestyle with young ones and T1 at the same time. Seeing other people's stories often helps folk to not feel alone in this.

Hi @Gina12 glad you've come back to us - with two little-uns you have a lot to deal with as well as your T1 Diabetes! Ask anything here - nothing is "silly" or "trivial" :care:

Good to have you back @Gina12
I look forward to hearing more from you.

Hi @Gina12, I'm also a newbie with T1 (diagnosed 1984, aged 9). I also have 2 kids and struggle with the juggle...I tend to put my kids' needs before my own but now they are getting older, it's time to focus a bit more on my T1 journey.
This is my first post, so it's nice to connect with someone in a similar position!
