Hi. I'm a 68-year-old gay disabled part-time writer living in Slough, Berkshire UK. I haven't been managing my diabetes (Type 2) very well, but after a recent scare, I'm trying to 'pull myself together'. I'm looking forward to chatting with some of you. Richard. My website.

Hello and welcome.
I find it helps to make lists, planning meals and shopping, at least at first, until things become a habit and normal numbers once again, normal.

Hi Richard and welcome to the forum 🙂 I think we've all had a few scares along our journeys, and this forum is a go-to for me for support and help with my lifestyle and eating.
Any questions, just ask, there will always be someone who can help x

Welcome to the forum, I hope you will find some inspiration to turn things around and there is plenty of information about how you might do that but what is suitable for you will depend on a number of things, in particular what your current HbA1C is and what medication you have been prescribed. A quick look at your web site reveals you have a number of medical conditions which you have to juggle with some of which may make it a bit more challenging to find the right suitable diet for you as that is going to have impact on how well you are going be able to make changes.
Meanwhile if you look at this link, in particular the introduction you may find there is a way forward that may suit you but that may depend on your medication. https://lowcarbfreshwell.com/

Hi Folks. Thanks for the warm welcome, encouragement and support. Richard
