Hi, I have recently been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes back in January. It's been a overwhelming last few months so just trying to find my feet with it all.
Hi. Welcome Humera.Turak
Yes it is overwhelming at first but it does get easier with time.
I was diagnosed in October but with all the help from here have got on top of it. So much help and info and support I don’t feel alone.
Just take things steadily, one step at a time. You’ll gradually get into the swing of things, and learn the way your own body responds in different situations. One of the main challenges I think, is that while general principles can apply, everyone will have their own unique set or workarounds, and ‘exceptions to the rules’ where there diabetes doesn’t seem to have read the textbook. And those can be frustrating and confusing until you’ve managed to spot those patterns and work out that, “generally, I do this… but in this situation I need to do this…” 🙂
