Hi, and welcome. As a newbie would you be happy to share some information such as how you came to be diagnosed (you had symptoms or was it the result of a blood test for something else), what your HbA1c was (this will determine how much you need to do to manage your risk), any diabetes meds (none at this stage, I expect), given any advice about diet (my money's on your answer being 'no') or told to exercise more or to lose weight? Apologies if that all sounds a bit intrusive but since we are all different it does enable us to tailor any advice to your particular circumstances.

Welcome to the forum @YasminaK

Glad you have joined us!

When were you told you were at risk of developing diabetes? Are there people in your close family who live with T2?

Were you having any symptoms that took you to the Dr, or was it picked up through a routine check?

Have a read around and ask away with any questions you have. We have lots of folks here who are building their own diabetes toolkit that works for them, and many have been able to successfully reduce their glucose levels to non-diabetes levels. 🙂
