It can be quite a lot to get used to in the early weeks and months, so be kind to yourself.
Were you told the result of your HbA1c at diagnosis - this will be a number above 47mmol/mol and can help you understand how far into 'diabetes territory' you are at the start, which in turn can help suggest how significant any changes you will be considering to your menu might want to be.
If you'd like to start getting your head around the whole subject of type 2 diabetes, you might want to register for an account with the
Learning Zone (the orange tab in the main menu) which is packed full of informative bite-sized modules. Additionally, for a more personal take, members here frequently recommend

T2 Diabetes, the first year, which you can work through gradually and will give you a solid starting point.
