Hi and welcome.

Really sorry to hear you are starting to experience complications. How do you manage your diabetes? Keeping your levels as stable and in range as possible will slow down the damage, so it is never too late to improve your BG management and I am sure we can give you some pointers on that.
Are you on any medication for your diabetes and if so, what?
Do you know your most recent HbA1c?
What if any dietary/lifestyle changes have you tried over the years? Unfortunately medication alone will not keep it in check, so this is important.... and it doesn't have to be all "sack cloth and ashes". Many of us have found that, whilst we have to put a bit more thought and effort into our food, it can actually be more tasty and enjoyable than before, but it does take a couple of months to get your head around a new way of eating. If you are able and can also start to form a daily habit of going for a walk, especially after meals, that will also help. If you can't manage to walk, seated exercises are also good or an exercise bike, to keep your body moving and the blood flowing, particularly to your legs and feet as they are at risk.

Please feel free to ask any questions you have and if you want to discuss the complications you are experiencing, other people here may have advice and support on how best to manage that.

Welcome to the forum @Scoobydo88

What changes have you seen relating to your diabetes?

We have a number of members who are living with various additional health conditions, including changes in nerves, eyes, and various other things, so feel free to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.

There won’t be any blame or stigma tolerated here. Complications connected to diabetes are a risk of what we have, not a result of what we do. There are no guarantees in this game, and two people could have very different outcomes from exactly the same diabetes-management style and stats. All we can do is attempt to manage and reduce our own risk, and then to deal with whatever cards we are dealt complications-wise.
