Hi Carol, welcome aboard. You are in the right place 🙂

Can I ask what meds you are on (if any)? and what is your HbA1c like?

Hi im im metformin 500mg twice a day it should be more but doc recomended taking less because if i take more then two they make me throw up sorry if thats to much info,I hvent had my hba1c done for a year now,i just dont seem to be able to get the help i need.

Hi Carole and welcome to the site firstly im with you on the metformin issue.By the sounds of it you dont seem to have a very good care team , where are you from?

Hi im from kent

Well i dunno if anyone from kent is about to say what there care is like but sounds like they need a kick up the rear, the fact you have had no hbA in a year alone is bad, they need to be taken at least every 6 month, you deserve the best care possible this cant be taken on by you alone. xx

Hi there,
So its back to basics then.
the foods you are in a titanic struggle with are starchy carbohydrates ( potatoes, cereal, flour, bread, rice, pasta - and probably fruit ). A Fact of Life they might not have made clear to you in your 9 years.

Hi caroleann, welcome to the forum🙂 Do read the links that Peter has provided, from the sounds of it they contain the information you should have received many years ago. But, the past is the past - think of your arrival here as the start of the 'new you', and we will do all we can to help you get on track.
