Relationship to Diabetes
Type 1
Hey to everyone, I'm new on here. My name is David, I've been a type one diabetic for 26 years, and I still don;t have a complete understanding of it all!

Good afternoon and welcome Mothrat.
Were you diagnosed when young or were youanother late starter?
It would help us to help you if you could tell us a bit about how you manage your Diabetes.

Apart from this forum, from which I have learnt most of what I know, the best resource for me in understanding why, how, ... is the book Type I Diabetes in Children, Adolescents and Young Adults by Ragnar Hanas. Ignore the age reference, I was diagnosed with T1 at 53, and still find it an invaluable source of clear explanations. It is regularly updated so worth forking out for the latest edition.

I look forward to hearing more from you.
