hi there
im will from kings lynn norfolk and ive had diabetes for 9 years although as of 2 years was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and was told that im insulin dependent. im currently on short acting and long acting insulin.

I am looking forward to hearing from everyone

I’m glad you finally got the right diagnosis. There are a number of others here who were misdiagnosed simply because they were adults.

Sorry to hear that you were initially mis-classified, but glad you now have an accurate diagnosis, and can access the correct treatment. As @Inka says, we have had a few members over the years who have trodden the same path. Hope it wasn’t too frustrating or difficult for you.

Are you on the more flexible basal:bolus system (4-5 injections a day)? And have you been able to access any structured education to support your diabetes management?
