Hi Sarah, welcome to the forum 🙂 Very sorry to hear about your diagnosis, but it is good that you have joined our community - there are lots of people here who understand just how you feel, and lots of knowledge and experience too, so don't be afraid to ask any questions you may have 🙂

To help you understand what it is all about, I would suggest reading Jennifer's Advice and Maggie Davey's letter. An excellent book, Type 2 Diabetes: The First Year by Gretchen Becker, is also highly recommended, offering a very positive view and practical information.

Let us know if we can help in any way! 🙂

Welcome to the forum, RaggleTaggle.

Ask away about any specifics with juggling food / diet, exercise / activity, medications if prescribed, dealing with 2 part time jobs etc. If you live in England and are on medications for diabetes, then you get free prescriptions. Getting blood glucose test strips prescribed can be an issue, but thye can be extremely useful, especially initially to discover how foods and activities affect you. One you know what to avoid / what to favour, you won't need so many.

Welcome to the forum RaggleTaggle / Sarah 🙂
