Hi there, I’m newly diagnosed with T2 and on pills, lots of questions but will read threads before I ask any in case answers are there 🙂
Have a nice weekend everyone🙂

Hi and welcome. What pills are you on, metformin?

Hello @RachelW and welcome to the Forum!

Yes, there is a lot of good advice and information here, have a look at -

Living With Diabetes on the Home Page of Diabetes UK
Learning Zone, the red tab at the top of this page
Previous Threads, especially Newbies, Food & Carbs, and if you need it, Weight Loss

That's a lot of homework to do so take your time, and if you're like most people who have just been diagnosed you will probably feel a bit confused, overwhelmed, and perhaps shocked - don't worry, that's quite normal, and as you learn more things will start to make sense
Many people take their diagnosis as the motivation to cut out processed food, junk food, a lot of booze, eat more veg, do more exercise, and all the rest of the healthy stuff we hear about

So ask any questions you might have - and don't be embarrassed nothing is too silly!

Besides advice and information you will also get sympathy and encouragement

Yes, I did the same.
Take the meds, step back, take the time to make a choice. 🙂

Welcome to the forum @RachelW

Glad you have found us 🙂

It can be so helpful to have a friendly crowd of people walking the same path from various starting points - some just setting out, others who have been finding their way for decades - and a safe place where you can vent, rant, moan, let off steam, and ask any questions you have 🙂

Hello and welcome to the Forum!

Hopefully you'll find it really helpful for you, as @everydayupsanddowns has said - we're a friendly crowd and here to support each other 🙂

You may have seen that we even have a jokes and pictures thread (this can be found here - https://forum.diabetes.org.uk/boards/forums/entertainment-jokes-quizzes-funny-pictures.19/) if you ever feel you need a little bit of fun whilst on here :D

If you have any questions, feel free to ask away!
