Type 2
Hello,
I was diagnosed Type 2 about a month ago and am slowly trying to get my head around things. Have been reading all the posts on this forum and finding it really helpful .

Hi SueCuz, welcome to the forum.

It can take a bit of getting used to so take your time and have a look around. Did they give you your Blood Sugar and HbA1c numbers?

Do let us know if there's anything we can help you with.

Thank you. My HbA1c was 136 , my blood sugar 17.5

Welcome to the forum @SueCuz
Sorry to hear about your diagnosis but pleased that you have found the forum.

How are you managing your diabetes at present? Are you using any meds, or just changes to diet and exercise?

Do ask any questions that you have. There is a wealth of experience to access on here.

Have a fear of medication but have agreed to try 2 x 1000g metformin. also changed what I am eating and being more active. BS in the 6s now.

Wow! sounds like you’ve made an amazing start @SueCuz

And congratulations on ‘delurking’ and starting to post on the forum! 🙂

If you can keep up your positive start, it seems very likely that your next HbA1c will show a dramatic improvement 🙂
