Hi glo here, I have been diabetic for over 20 years, am on insulin, metformin & linogliptin. Really good to see all the threads giving advice and support. Have had a few complications recently, three seizures not sure if they're hypoglycaemic or epileptic waiting for test results.🙂

Hi Glo, welcome to the forum 🙂 Sorry to hear about the complications, I hope that the tests will help find a remedy for you soon. What insulin are you on?

Please feel free to join in wherever you wish! 🙂

Thank you for responding. I am on humalog and lantus at present trying to reverse t2 by losing weight (stuck on 3 stone since starting jabs). :(

Hello Glo, welcome. What have you been trying to help you shift the lbs? I know exactly how hard it can be, and I couldn't have done it on my own. Do come and join us in the weight loss threads for help and inspiration. I still lurk there, despite taking a break from accelerated loss at the moment (I needed a breather after 6 stone, before tackling the other two that will get me to a healthy BMI).

Have only been trying to cut down not following a rigid diet regime but diet has gone out of the window in the last couple of months since having the seizures. Will go into the weight loss thread as I'm not doing too well and have approx 7 stone to lose

As you've discovered, cutting down only takes you so far. Even dietary advice from some of the healthcare professionals can be downright misleading. Basically, carbohydrates are the number one enemy, followed by high fat items, particularly those that also contain carbs. These days I prepare almost everything from scratch so I can control what goes on my plate.
