Thank-you so much for your quick reply, we’ve just come out of hospital first week, he’s suddenly starting to process what’s happened, and is now scared to inject ,its so hard, they say it’s delayed shock, just don’t know how to help him , it’s heartbreaking . I know in time it will get better but I’m a single parent and with the COVID lockdown we feel so alone .right nowHi @Juliesax Sorry to hear about your son’s diagnosis. Is he in hospital or at home? How are you managing? Is there anything in particular you’d like help with or just the general shock of things?
Type 1 is a massive change at first, but it does gradually get easier. It might not seem like it now, but it will slowly become easier.
It’s late now so you might not get many replies until tomorrow, but please do write more.
XHi and welcome.
I’ll respond properly tomorrow but just want to let you know we’re here for questions (nothing is too silly) and to support you too.
