Hi everyone, i am so glad i have found this site. My daughter Stephanie was diagnosed 2 years ago when she was 6yrs old. I have two other great kids, Sophie 17yrs and Ashley 13yrs and one husband.
I would like to say the last two years have been ok but its been very stressful. Since Steph was diagnosed she had a problem with chronic constipation and we have spent the last two years in and out of hospital and visiting consultants and nurses. Thankfully she is starting to make progress. The first year i had to give up my job and sell my house and move her to another school. In all this time we have stuck together as a family and we have got through. I am looking forward to learning more from this site and will be happy to answer any questions that might help others. My family have raised ?1100 for Diabetes UK and i have recently set up a support group for parents in South Wales with help from Diabetes UK.
