Type 2
Type two diabetic unfortunately with prostate cancer and during chemo my diabetic levels went sky high now trying to get back on track and loose some weight have to look at my diet and my eyesight is giving me some concerns apart from that life is good. Richard

Richard - ALL the treatment for prostate cancer - hormones, chemo, radio, brachy or prostatectomy - is ruddy hard on any bloke's body anyway without anything else going on - so must be an absolute nightmare if he starts with diabetes to begin with. Were you able to see the specialists in the hospital diabetes clinic to help you with your BG - or just left to struggle on your own? (cos neither urinologists nor oncologists have a clue, I know that)

When's your retinopathy screening due - or has that recently raised concerns? If it's not that - have you seen your optician about your eyesight ? Obviously if you have good control of your BG that's far better for preserving good eyesight whatever it is - but if it's 'recent' retinopathy by regaining and then maintaining that BG early damage can very often be completely reversed.

Hope it ALL becomes easier to manage.

I'm waiting for letter from hospital for appointment so will have to wait and see the outcome just news I'd rather not have at the moment but time will tell. Cheers Richard
