Hi all new here and pretty much still learning all the stuff that goes with type 1.
My 14 year old daughter was diagnosed 4 weeks ago, started carb counting this weekend so we, as in mum of daughter lol are on novomix 30 novorapid and now glargine too.With the hope being, we will have cracked the carb counting in the summer holls.
Anyway now ive got that off my chest!

Hi there Marie and welcome to the forum, if you have not already spotted it then they is a great part of the forum called parents you will find all sorts of good advice and information on there that will hopefully hel p you some what.x

Welcome to the forum. I am a parent too and there is so much to take in at the moment. We are only about 8 weeks in to it. My son is 20 so a bit older but still doesn't stop you worrying. There is so much to learn.

Hope you are ok? My son has just got on with it...he's out tonight with his friends doing a gig! but I have found it a bit harder to get my head round and accept.

There is a parents forum if you want to chat 🙂
 
Hi Marie welcome to the forum! I've had type 1 for 19 years...you never stop learning about this condition 🙂

Have you joined the Children With Diabetes UK emailing list? It's a wonderful thing - have a google!
