None of us do, but in the absence of a cure the best we can do is aim for remission (no signs, no symptoms, no meds). Although this is said to be more achievable fairly soon after diagnosis there are instances of people getting there years later. I read of one person who achieved it after being T2 for something like 25 years.
I’m sure many of us who have lived with diabetes for a number of years will certainly recognise that sentiment!

I love @Martin.A ’s suggestion of trying to keep diabetes contained and in its box - which can be possible for some without medication - but even for those of us for whom that isn’t an option, there are ways of limiting then headspace it takes up, and reducing the risk of long-term impact.
Do you take any meds to help with glucose management? And are you happy with your current HbA1c results?
