Hi It's me again!

Hi it's me again, I've been quite emotional lately, considering I lost my last job at the garden centre. I felt quite deflated and wondered why my continued misfortune was happening to me. But now I have picked myself again and now feel more positive. Last Monday, I reapplied to DVLA for my class 2 driving licence. After going through a medical check with my GP and hospital, they're happy I'm in control of my type 3C and had a recent eye test at my opticians, where he also was happy there was no damage to my eyesight. I have a new optimimism, things will improve soon. I hope this explains my long absence from the forum and hope you will all uunderstand. Im still very much part of the forum. Please forgive me everyone, I just needed time to get through it, as best as I could.
Thanks and regards to you all.

Hey, it’s good to hear from you again @Busdriver60 !
I’m really sorry you’ve had such a tough time recently - losing your job and dealing with setbacks like that can really take a toll, and it’s completely understandable that you needed some time to process everything. Please don’t ever feel like you need to ask for forgiveness for stepping back - sometimes we just need space to regroup, and that’s okay.
It’s amazing to hear that you’re feeling more positive and taking steps forward again. Reapplying for your Class 2 licence is a huge milestone, and it’s great that both your GP and optician are happy with how things are going. That’s such a strong testament to all the work you’ve put into managing your Type 3C.
Your resilience really shines through and I have no doubt that good things are ahead for you. We’re all still here, wishing you all the best for this next chapter - please keep us updated!

Hi Paul great to hear from you again and one of beauty’s of this forum is you can dip in and/ or dip out whenever any contributor feels the need to and for whatever reason.
Great that you are feeling more positive about your future prospects and good luck with the driving licence application as I know that will help motivate you to feel much more positive about how you feel.

Totally understandable that you felt a bit down after the loss of your job Paul, but great that you are on the up again and that GP and hospital staff are happy with your diabetes management. You will need to have 3 months of twice a day every day, finger prick testing for your DVLA application so do make sure you have that and best of luck with getting your Class 2 licence back and a new job of course.
Also a timely reminder that we all need to change the time on our BG meters today to BST.

Thank you, Rebrascora, for the information. I know it will be greatly beneficial. 🙂
