Lily123 that's reassuring. I think I've tried everything apart from giving up being a vegetarian- couldn't believe my diagnosis and was determined to reverse it- but I haven't managed to! I have a low BMI, low carb diet, and I exercise. I even drink horrible green tea and cider vinegar. Sigh!

You can always do an internet google search for food X Total carbohydrate, if you are making most things from scratch.
Keep a note book to record your most used ingredients.
I do find Carbs and Cals book useful as it allows a quick comparison of veggies and also a visual indication of portion size which can sometimes be very surprising.

I think it is possible that you might be a slow onset Type 1 from reading your other thread and it has just been picked up really early.
You are clearly not eating a lot of carbs and following a very healthy way of eating, cooking veggie meals from scratch. Beans and lentils can be problematic for some people who seem to be able to extract more carbs from them than the nutritional info would suggest. I am sadly one of them, although as a Type 1, I can inject insulin to cover it, but I try to follow a low carb higher fat way of eating as this suits my body and lifestyle so I keep pulses as an occasional treat and generally just have a small portion when I do have them mixed in with other things.

Personally I don't think there is much more you can do to improve your diet and it may well be a question of needing insulin at some stage if I am right about your diabetes type. This should not be seen by you as a failure. If you are Type 1 then there is nothing you can do about it and sooner or later you will not have enough insulin producing cells to manage your BG levels. You might want to ask about C-peptide and GAD antibody tests and ask if you might be Type 1 or LADA (Latent Autoimmune Diabetes in Adults)

I use the NutraCheck app. I like it, it allows you to pick your ingredient and then enter the amount used saving some maths! You can save favourite recipes etc. The app is £23.99 for a year and there is a 7 day free trial if you wanted to have a play and see if it suits you needs.

You appear to have two threads on the go which can get confusing as we are asking questions about things you have mentioned on the other thread and may not be noticed when replies are given so it looks as if things you have said have been ignored so apologies.
you are right, I am sorry about that. I am really surprised that people are so responsive.
