There are quite a few medications which can have that effect, you could look at the product information in your various meds to see if it mentions anything related to your issue. It may be nothing to do with your diabetes.
Some blood pressure meds or meds for enlarged prostate can have a unwanted side effect./

Hi and welcome.

Sorry to hear about the ED problem you are having but really important to seek medical advice as you intend to do.

How long have you been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and how long has this problem been going on? You mention that you are on lots of medication.... Can you tell us what they are?

Have you made any changes to your lifestyle (diet and exercise) to help manage your diabetes, as medication alone is unlikely to keep a lid on it? If not, it is never too late to start.... Long term poorly managed diabetes causes damage to small blood vessels and nerves.... both of which are obviously important to that particular part of the anatomy, so managing your blood glucose levels well is an important part of maintaining sexual health in this respect. It may be possible to improve function if you can improve your BG management or it may be that you need a referral for specialist support to manage that situation.

If you are newly diagnosed, it may be that stress and anxiety, possibly from the diagnosis (we all know how overwhelming it can be) is to blame for things not working or perhaps you have had undiagnosed (and unmanaged) diabetes for a long time..... The more you can tell us about your diabetes, medication and BG levels or HbA1c results, the better idea we might have about the things you can do to possibly improve the situation. I believe a pump might be one such solution but I am sure there are others.
