Hi and welcome to the forum. I'm afraid you have lucked out with me. At my age periods are a dim and distant memory! :D

Hi Kerry, welcome to the forum 🙂 Sorry, I can't help with the periods problem, being a bloke, but hopefully one of our members can help. How long have you been diagnosed and what insulin regime are you on? When you say you have got your levels down to 8.2, when is that reading taken?

Hi kerry.good luck with your lady times.all my information on that front is ancient i am afraid

Hi Kerry and welcome to the forum, im afraid im not much help with regards to the periods either.

Hi Kerry, I am a type 2 diabetic, have been for around 15 years. My experience of periods was the same as yours and got worse as I got older, in the end they were lasting a full 7 days with at least 5 days extremely heavy and in a lot of pain. And yes the doctor asked if my periods were regular which yes they were, always had been. Eventually got to see a consultant when I started having problems with my bladder (won't go into details as yuck!) Turns out I had a huge fibroid, I had a hysterectomy but then I am a lot older than you (I was 47 when I had it). There are other things they can do for you so I would speak to your consultant again and push for some help before it gets worse. I have been so much better since this was all sorted out. Good luck.
