Been type 2 since 2000 and been on tablets over 20 years.
Recently started Insulin injections as I have to look after my remaing kidney.
(One was removed in 2020 due to a cancer)
I am on Humulin I twice a day before meals.
If i miss one before evening meal is it ok to inject it after the meal?
Look forward to hearing the conversations on here.

Humulin I is an intermediate-acting isophane insulin. Ideally it helps to take it at fairly consistent times each day, or as close to that as you can manage - but sometimes life happens, so yes occasionally changing the timing shouldn’t too problematic.

Just keep a closer eye on BG levels to make sure you are keeping yourself safe, and in a reasonable range 🙂

Hi thankyou for that. I have a busy schedule with my wife having an inoperable cancer... mornings are OK with a good routine but evening can be harder as I am preparing /cooking our evening meal at the time of injection.
So that's when I can miss it... alarm set on my phone now so hopefully problem cured. Meals times are tight so they can be eaten before my wife goes back to get bedroom ready for carers last visit of the day.

Sorry to hear about your wife @bartonbob

I lost my wife to inoperable pancreatic cancer around 4 years ago, so have some idea how difficult and stretched life can get.

Hang in there, relish the remaining time you have together, and be kind to yourself.
