Hi.
I'm not actually a newbie but I might as well be. Things have changed a lot for me since I was last here or when I first joined. I need to redo some of my signature\ settings.

I'm now type 1. After 14-15 years of being type 2 a diabetes nurse decided to do a c peptide test and I got declared type 1. I have a freestyle libre 2 and I'm booked in a DAFNE course in August. My blood sugar control still sucks though, possibly not helped by perimenopause.

Thats it from me for now.

Rachel

Welcome back @RachelT

Goodness! That was quite a delay before you were reclassified as T1 😱

Hopefully you can now get access to more appropriate treatment options, and your blood glucose management should get a bit easier in time?

Hi @RachelT

Sorry you have had such a long time without the correct diagnosis. Hopefully now that you have the correct one things will get easier.

If you are happy to do so, it will help us give informed responses to any questions if we know which insulins you are using.

It is great that you have already got the Libre, as that will give you information on which to base any changes you want to make, and also to help with exercise.

Hi @RachelT , Sorry to hear about the late diagnosis , this must be frustrating. Hopefully when you start the DAFNE course in August you'll be more than on track in controlling your blood sugar.
