Hi there. I've been a type 2 diabetic on tablets (Metformin) for 27 years and also on injections (Novomix) 3 times a day for the last 12 years. 2 1/2 years ago we moved to a different city and I weighed 21 1/2 stone. But now I weigh 12 stone 13 lbs. The diabetic nurse at my GPs practice has helped me to do this by practical advice on dieting and lots of encouragement. And recently she enabled me to come off injections entirely! Where I was in a size 32 I'm now in a 16 - and feel great. I'd love to help others who feel stuck at a high weight and with high sugars, as I know what it was like.
