The metaformin seems to be working but I have been suffering from a pain in my left hand side of my stomach which travels up to my shoulder which is really painful. Has any1 on here suffered from the same symptoms.
 
Welcome, I have had a pain like that in my right side but it was indigestion, if it is worrying you get it checked out. I saw the doc and he said I did the right thing in getting it checked.

It may be an issue with the pancreas. I am type 2 diabetic myself but never had this kind of issue. I would definitely make a trip to the doctors, it may sound annoying to visit them, but it could be an internal issue and it needs to be checked.
